KCH Offers Gluten-Free Living, Arthritis Management Classes

The Kosciusko Community Hospital Health & Wellness Center will present two community education classes this fall.
“Going Gluten Free” will be taught at 6:30 pm. on Tuesdays from Sept. 10 through Oct. 15. The six-week series teaches how to live a gluten-free lifestyle. The cost is $65.
The classes will be taught by Registered Dietitian Wanda Cullison and Registered Nurse Liza Schuh. These instructors will lead attendees through the steps to a healthy, gluten-free lifestyle that will also include recreating dishes from foods that are traditionally high in gluten. Liza Schuh will teach participants how to prepare tasty gluten-free versions of these foods.
The second class, “FORM” (Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis Management) will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 10 through Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. This is a four-week program to help those who suffer from arthritis.
The focus of the program is how to maintain or increase daily activity levels without increasing joint pain, inflammation or swelling. The cost is $65.
