Rita Irwin, president of the Kosciusko County Extension Homemakers, challenged her homemaker members to raise $1 per homemaker for the Beaman Home. If the homemakers achieved the goal of $1 each, Irwin and Stephanie Faroh, Kosciusko County Purdue Extension Health and Human Sciences educator and advisor for the extension homemakers would take a pie in their faces. The homemakers must have wanted to be sure this happened, as more than $1 each was raised. At the presidents council meeting Wednesday, they got their taste of pie. Shown (L to R) are Sue Creighton from the Beaman Home accepting the $278 donation, Irwin and Faroh.
