MENTONE – Kay Goshert Camp, 63, Mentone, took the hand of her Savior, and stepped into heaven at 10:52 p.m. Jan. 29, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw, where she had resided since March 2014.
Kay Arlene was born July 18, 1952, to James and Iola Tucker Goshert.
She was a 1970 graduate of Mentone High School, a 1975 graduate of Manchester College, and held a master's degree from Ball State University. She taught business at Rochester High School and ICE at Tippecanoe Valley High School.
In her spare time, she made floral arrangements, enjoyed sharing produce from her garden, and had attended The Cross Church of Rochester. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2007, and fought it with her strong faith and determination. She always had a heart of compassion for hurting people, especially those also dealing with cancer.
Surviving are her parents, James and Iola Goshert, Mentone; two sisters, Janet Goshert, Fort Wayne, and Faith Goshert, Mentone; two brothers, Kerry (and spouse Kim) Goshert, Mentone, and Jerry (and spouse Reba), New Paris; and three nieces, Brooklyn, Carissa, and Danae, all of New Paris. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Lee Goshert.
Services will be at 2:30 pm. Tuesday at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with Pastor Forrest Tabor officiating. Burial will follow at the Mentone Cemetery.
Calling is from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
