NOTICE OF OPPORTUNITY TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING Re: Calendar year 2009 KABS Capital Assistance Grant to purchase vehicles and equipment. 1. Notice is hereby given that Kosciusko Area Bus Service will provide an opportunity for a public hearing for the purpose of considering a grant for which federal capital assistance under Section 5311 of the Federal Transit Act, as amended, is being sought. The hearing will be held in any person interested in a hearing submits a request in writing that a hearing be held to Kosciusko Area Bus Service within a ten (10) day period, after the publication of this notice. The hearing will be held April 20, 2009 at 4:00 pm at 1804 E. Winona Ave. Warsaw, Indiana. The produce is generally described as follows: A. Description of Project: 2009/2010 Capital Assistance Grant for Kosciusko Area Bus Service to: 1. BOVC 20 Pass (2) 2. Sedan/wagon (1) 3. On-Board Security System 4. Fare-boxes 5. DVD, television 6. Cable installation, changing locations Total estimated cost of all 2009 capital projects is $201,702 which will be funded from Section 531 Federal ARRA Funds. 2. If a hearing is requested and scheduled Kosciusko Area Bus Service will afford an opportunity for interested person, agencies and private transportation providers to be heard with respect to the social, environmental, and economic aspects of the grant.
