By Staff Report-

A day of "Spook-tac-u-lar" bowling awaits participants in the Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon, scheduled for Saturday at Warsaw's Northside Lanes.

Teams are being sought to participate in the event, which is a fundraiser for the Junior Achievement program serving Warsaw and Tippecanoe Valley schools.[[In-content Ad]]Five-person teams can select one of three time slots to bowl: 9 to 11 a.m., 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., or 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Each team is asked to raise a minimum of $300, or $60 per bowler. Teams that raise $350 or more will receive a large one-topping pizza and a pitcher of the beverage of their choice at the event for their fundraising efforts.

New this year is a $300 cash prize incentive that will be awarded to the first person who bowls a perfect 300 game. A variety of door prizes will be given away at the event.

"The Bowl-A-Thon helps fund Junior Achievement's economic and financial literacy education classes that are held in the Warsaw and Tippecanoe Valley school systems," said Fred Hite, president of the area Junior Achievement Board of Directors. "These are life skills that everybody needs to know, and Junior Achievement assists schools and parents by providing training for this very important need for our area's kids."
