NORTH MANCHESTER - June H. Hastings, 82, of North Manchester, died at 9:43 a.m. Feb. 18, 2010, at the home of her daughter in rural North Manchester.

She was born Feb. 14, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., to Raymond and Marion Hallet Pillsbury. She married Robert Muench, who preceded her in death. In June 1968, she married Charles E. Hastings, who died Oct. 8, 1981.

She worked as an LPN in both hospital and nursing settings before retiring in 1981.

Surviving are four sons: Jon Muench, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Jim Muench, Hubbard Lake, Mich.; Jeff Muench, Rexburg, Idaho; and Mark Hastings, Warsaw; a daughter, Marcy (and spouse Kim) Pratt, North Manchester; a sister, Nancy Mahoney, East Jordan, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Winchester Funeral Home, Charlevoix, Mich. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Charlevoix.

Calling is from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, is in charge of local arrangements.
