Youth aged 12 to 18 are invited to the library for a "Movies and Snacks" event June 26. Howl's Moving Castle will show at 2 p.m. in the Blocher Community Room.
In mid-June, after many years of faithful service, Miss Peabody will retire from her position as Library Cat. Her immediate plans are to move to her new home - a lighthouse - in Rogers City, Mich. Children and adults are invited to visit the library through Friday to reminisce with Miss Peabody and to write a farewell note for our bulletin board.
The North Manchester Public Library Long Range Plan Committee will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the library's conference room. This committee is charged with creating a long range plan for the library for years 2009-2013.
