NAPPANEE – Juanita Stackhouse Hoffer, 89, of Huntington, and formerly of Nappanee, died at 1 p.m.  Jan. 2, 2013, in Norwood Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Huntington, where she resided the last three years.
She was born March 15, 1923, in Etna Green, to Owen and Cleo Utter Stackhouse. On Jan. 26, 1946, in Etna Green, she married Buell A. Hoffer, who died March 6, 2009.
She graduated from Etna Green High School in 1941 and attended one year at Indiana University. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God, where she had been involved in the WCSC and had been choir director.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan (and spouse Tim) Herrli, Elkhart; two sons, Timothy (and spouse Loretta) Hoffer, Indianapolis, and Mark (and spouse Beth) Hoffer, Huntington; six grandchildren; two step-grandsons; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Tabor Church of God with the Rev. Jeremy Grueser officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one  hour prior to the funeral Saturday at the church.
