She was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Tipton County, to Robert and Leola Kirby Mundell. On July 1, 1977, in Tipton, she married John Diehl, who survives.
She was a switchboard operator at Tipton County Hospital. She graduated from Highland High School, Anderson.
Also surviving are a stepdaughter, Tabitha (and spouse Rick) Bulla, Frankton; a stepson, John Allen Diehl, Elwood; and a step-grandson. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Butch Troke officiating.
Calling is from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
