GOSHEN – Josephene "Jo" Henderson, 79, died at her home June 24, 2011. She had been ill since March 2010.

She was born Jan. 14, 1932, in Elkhart County, to Samuel W. and Doris Stump Mohler. On Aug. 18, 1978, in Goshen, she married Curtis L. Henderson, who died Oct. 25, 2009.

She was a member of Solomon Creek United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She worked at Homecrest in production for 27 years. She was a quilter and avid reader, and loved all animals, especially her dog, Brandy.

Surviving are a son, Michael W. (and spouse Melody) Feaster, Warsaw; a stepdaughter, Dwana (and spouse Charles) Baucom, Columbia, Miss.; two stepsons, Scott (and spouse Andrea) Henderson, Goshen, and Ricky (and spouse Tawnya) Henderson, Middlebury; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Naomi (and spouse Keith B.) Miller, New Paris; and a brother, Carol “Bud” (and spouse Mary) Mohler, Millersburg. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky and Gene Feaster, and a stepson, Danny Henderson.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, with retired pastor Carldean Merrifield officiating.

Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Solomon Creek Cemetery, Syracuse.
