Franklin and Sharon Jones, Warsaw, announce the engagement of their daughter, Melinda Jones, San Antonio, Texas, to Troy Aranda, San Antonio. He is the son of Esthela Aranda, Corpus Christi, Texas, and Candido Aranda, Fort Worth, Texas.

The bride-to-be is a lead after school care provider at Professional Karate Institute, San Antonio. She is a 2000 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and received a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership with an emphasis in human resources and communication from Purdue University in 2005.

The groom-elect is an assistant manager at Bank of America, San Antonio. He is a 1990 graduate of W. B. Ray High School, Corpus Christi, and attended Texas A&M CC, where he majored in mathamatics.

The couple plan a May 16 wedding in San Antonio and a May 23 wedding in Warsaw.
