John Richard Craig, 88, of Warsaw, died at 9:35 p.m. Dec. 18, 2010, in his residence.

He was born June 17, 1922, in Pierceton, to Leo and Beatrice Horne Craig. On Oct. 9, 1942, in Warsaw, he married Eleanor Baugher, who survives.

He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of First Brethren Church, Warsaw, and the Indiana Rural Letter Carriers Association.

Also surviving are two sons, John L. (and spouse Rita) Craig, and Terry W. (and spouse Jean) Craig, all of Warsaw; four grandchildren, Teresa Craig, Fort Wayne, and Tammy (and spouse Chris) Seibold, Melissa (and spouse Jay) Godshalk and Brian Craig, all of Warsaw; four great-grandchildren: Trenton and Ryan Seibold and Anna and Macy Craig; and a brother, Chester Craig, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Rev. Paul Tinkel officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 5 from 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
