NORTH WEBSTER – John R. “Rocky” Hayes, 51, of North Webster, died at 6:30 a.m. June 19, 2011, in his residence.

He was born Dec. 18, 1959, in Marion, to John M. and Edwina B. Sines Hayes. On Aug. 28, 1993, in Goshen, he married Patricia Davis, who survives.

He graduated from Logansport High School in 1978. He retired from Homecrest Corp. after 17 years of service. He moved to the North Webster area from Goshen in 1996. He was a member of Maxwelton Golf Course, Syracuse.

Also surviving are a daughter, Brea Werner, Logansport; a son, John (and spouse Amy) Werner, Logansport; two grandchildren; his mother, Edwina Hayes, Silver Lake; a sister, Laura (and spouse Mark) Sill; and a brother, Scott (and spouse Debbie) Hayes, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Maxwelton Golf Club, Syracuse, with Pastor David Smitley officiating.

Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
