NORTH MANCHESTER - John H. Kinzie, 86, of North Manchester, died at 3:20 a.m. Sept. 28, 2010, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

He was born June 6, 1924, in Cass County, to Lester R. and Nettie Ulrey Kinzie. On Jan. 8, 1956, he married Jane E. Boocher.

He and his father-in-law, Noah Boocher, owned and operated Boocher Trucking from 1965-1975. He then delivered recreational vehicles for 20 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester.

Surviving are a son, Roger L. Kinzie, North Manchester; a daughter, Ronda S. (and spouse Matt) Pendleton, Dayton; two brothers, Wayne (and spouse Miriam) Kinzie, Eaton, Ohio, and Ron (and spouse Nancy) Kinzie, Cleveland, Ga.; two sisters, Evah (and spouse Russell) Rinehart, Lafayette; and Nina Hess, Athens, Wis.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester, with Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
