He was born April 22, 1906, to Lawrence and Nellie Greer Border. On Aug. 2, 1931, he married Gladys Ruth Watkins, who died Feb. 27, 1995.
A lifetime Bourbon resident, he was a farmer and owned and operated Border's Hatchery and Border TV Service for many years.
Surviving are two sons, Robert and Jerry Border, both of Bourbon; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Sarah) Feldman, South Bend, and Mrs. Ellsworth (Shirley) Everest, Warsaw; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon, with the Rev. Robert Vale officiating.
