NORTH WEBSTER - John F. Pearson, 74, of North Webster, died at 5:09 p.m. July 28, 2010, in his residence.

He was born Aug. 9, 1935, in Lebanon, to Jasper L. and Mary Audeline Staples Pearson. On Aug. 29, 1956, in Leesburg, he married Barbara J. Cremeens, who died in 1966. He then married Barbara Ellen Burns, who died in April 2000. On June 2, 1979, in Syracuse, he married Marjorie H. Robinson Morris, who survives.

He was a lifetime North Webster area resident and graduated from North Webster High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from December 1953 to December 1957. He retired in 1995 from Dana Corp., Syracuse, after 30 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 253, North Webster.

Also surviving are four daughters: Toni Hughes, Leesburg; Juli Garza and Jeni Bagot, both of North Webster; and Joni Stewart, Chicago, Ill.; two stepsons, Jack and Jim Morris, both of of North Webster; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, LaVonne "Vonnie" Wiggs, Pierceton; a brother, Ronald "Red" (and spouse Liz) Pearson, Leesburg. He was preceded in death by a stepson, a grandson, a sister and a brother.

No formal services are planned. Burial will be at a later date in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.

Calling is from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, with military rites at 4 p.m. by members of North Webster American Legion Post 253.
