He was born Feb. 18, 1948, in Elkhart County, to Lewis and Bettie Albert Hare.
He attended Milford High School and was a volunteer with the Milford Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
Surviving are his mother, Bettie Hare, Milford; four children, Tammy (and spouse Bill) Hutchinson, Robbie (and spouse Amanda) Hare and Molly (and spouse Jordan) Holzwart, all of Syracuse, and Jon (and fiancée Shannon Price), Milford; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Rita Vanlaningham, Milford. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister.
No services are planned at this time.
