John Bud Elliott, 65, died tragically at 7:03 p.m. Oct. 13, 2013, on his Warsaw property as the result of a farm accident.
He was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Orval and Mary Belle Stephens Elliott. On July 22, 1972, in Warsaw, he married Linda Albertson, who survives in Warsaw.
He spent most of his life in Kosciusko County. He was a machinist with Dana Corporation, Syracuse, for 35 years, retiring in 2004. He also farmed. He was a 4-H leader; member of Francis Slocum Trail Riders; and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Also surviving are two daughters, Misty (and spouse Joe) Rucker, Pierceton, and Mindy (and spouse Andy) Martin, Bluffton; one granddaughter, Jalynn Rucker, at home; three brothers: James (and spouse Glenda) Elliott, Silver Lake; Bill (and spouse Dorothy) Elliott, Sidney; and Tomm Elliott, Liott, Tenn.; two sisters, Anna Blair and Linda Justice, both of Warsaw; and his special dog, Yoder. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Elliott, Feb. 2, 2012.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor William Whitaker, Warsaw Family Worship Center, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
