On Nov. 6, 1949, in Elgin, Ill., he was born to Peder and Evelyn Prokop Larson. On Jan. 25, 1997, in Leesburg, he married Patsy Drazan, who survives.
He was raised in Cicero, Ill., then lived in the Chicagoland area before moving to Leesburg. He was a trumpet player for 44 years with the Ides of March, Chicago. Music was his love. After retiring from the Ides of March, he played locally for the Lake Area Community Band.
Also surviving are his mother, Evelyn Larson, Cicero, Ill.; two step-children, Elizabeth (and spouse John) Cassano, Lewisville, Colo., and Derek Sinclair, Berwyn, Ill.; a granddaughter, of which he was a proud grandfather, Sabrino Cassano, Lewisville, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Gail Larson, Hickory Hills, Ill.; two nephews, Robert and Scott Larson, both of Illinois; and a niece, Sheri Larson, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Richard Larson.
Services and burial will be at a later date.
