John A. Eich, 78, Pierceton, passed away at 4 a.m June 12, 2014,in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born June 17, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, to Albert and Martha Peters Eich. In May 1965 he married Patricia Kantner.
He was a US Marines veteran. He retired from Toledo Edison as a lineman. He was a member of the local Union 245 for 52 years.
Surviving are four sons: Matthew R. Eich, Bryan, Ohio; Thomas J. Eich, Fort Wayne; James R. (and spouse Jeanie) Eich, Woodburn and Christopher J. Eich, Montpelier, Ohio; two daughters, Teresa A. (and spouse Steve) Palmero, Knoxville, Tenn., and Anne M. (and spouse Brent) Hug, Fort Wayne; two brothers, Stephen (and spouse Sue) Eich, Swanton, Ohio, and Joseph (and spouse Sharon) Eich, Toledo; three sisters, Judy McIntyre, Corona, Calif., Mary Riddle, Maumee, Ohio, and Jane Eich, Corona, Calif.; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one sister.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. No burial is planned.
