He was born Feb. 9, 1940, in Plymouth, to Carl and Kathryn Roll Reichert. On Feb. 28, 2004, he married Mary Hannah, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area, graduating from Bourbon High School with the class of 1958. He was retired from (Aker Plastics) Maxx Fiberglass, Plymouth. He still worked loading trucks until his recent illness. He attended Shiloh Wesleyan Church of Plymouth. He also loved to golf, fishing and was a Dale Earnhardt Jr. NASCAR fan.
Also surviving are three children: Michael (and companion Penny) and Jay Reichert, all of Warsaw; and Annette (and spouse Fred) Buck, Florida; two stepsons, Eric (and spouse Julie) Weedling, Plymouth, and Demagus (and companion Alan) Kashtai, Sellersburg. He also was blessed with six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Judy (and companion Noel), Nappanee; Mary Clark, New Carlisle; Carolyn Kulas, Kansas; and two brothers, John (and companion Audrey), Rochester, and Fred (and spouse Bonnie) Reichert, California. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, with Pastor Justin Chambers, New Song Church, Plymouth, officiating. Burial is in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
