She was born March 8, 1942, in Burlington, Wis., to Darrell and Flora Amend Border. She married Richard “Dick” Loper, who survives.
She moved to this area from the Rochester area in 1983. She retired from Laketronics, Cromwell, and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Eagles Lodge, all in Syracuse.
Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa Covington (and Mike Steffen), Warsaw; four stepdaughters: Samantha (and spouse John) Shock, North Webster; Shari (and spouse Darrell) Carr, Warsaw; Zoa Zentz, Florida; and Debbie Manny, Colorado; a son, Tom Manny, Michigan City; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Karen (and spouse Raymond) Turner, Rochester. She was preceded in death by two sons.
No services are planned.
