SYRACUSE - JoAnn E. Harrison, 78, of Ligonier, died at 7:45 a.m. March 22, 2010, in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She was born Aug. 14, 1931, in Ligonier, to Lawrence E. and Helen E. Richwine Warble.

She graduated from North Webster High School in 1949 and was a lifetime Noble and Kosciusko counties area resident. She retired in 1993 from Tenneco Automotive, Ligonier, and formerly worked at Essex, Ligonier, for several years. She was a U.S. Air Force veteran and member of the American Legion Post 253, North Webster.

Surviving are two daughters, Pattie Jo (and spouse Ray) Nelson, Ligonier, and Deborah Ann (and spouse Jeff) Lovellette, Syracuse; a son, William "Bill" (and spouse Rhonda) Harrison, Bristol; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister and a brother.

Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, with the Rev. Ray Nelson officiating. A private military graveside service will be Thursday at North Webster Cemetery by members of North Webster American Legion.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
