She was born June 20, 1910, in Bourbon, to John P. and Bess Vink Kester. On Dec. 30, 1936, in Fort Wayne, she married H. Frank Morgan, who died May 14, 1990.
She was a cashier at W.W. Wilts for 25 years, retiring in 1979. She moved to Atwood from Elkhart in 1972. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Atwood; United Methodist Women's Society; and Atwood Home Economics Club. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and time with her family.
Surviving are a daughter, Gretchen (and spouse Ron) Jones, Warsaw; a son, James (and spouse Cathy) Morgan, Middlebury; a daughter-in-law, Linda Morgan, Kokomo; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Morgan; two sons, David and William "Bill" Morgan; a brother, John C. Kester; and two sisters, Gretchen Miller and Francis Ganger.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with the Rev. Michael Lawson, of Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
