Jenna M. Underwood, 98, of Warsaw, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Aug. 22, 2012, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.

She was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Gassaway, W.Va., to Hayes and Florence Chenoweth Friend. On Nov. 22, 1977, in Covington, Ky., she married Carl E. Underwood, who died in 1977.

Formerly of Dayton, Ohio, and Port Charlotte, Fla., she moved to Warsaw in 2007. She was an x-ray technician for Dr. Allen March for 30 years and retired in the same occupation from the Dayton Ohio Veteran’s Administration Hospital in 1968.

Surviving are two sons, E.J. (and spouse Peg) Underwood, Winona Lake, and John Thomas, Dayton, Ohio; a daughter Jacqualin Orme, Vandalia, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded by a daughter, Carol Ann Underwood.

Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gulf Pine Memorial Park, Englewood, Fla.

Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
