The Jeans Shack will hold its grand opening Saturday at 540 E. Market St., the former location of Clippin Dolls hair salon.
Featuring sidewalk sales and barbecue, the grand opening from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. will coincide with the Lake City Trading Post yard sale in the parking lot.
“We’re incorporating a little party for it,” owner April Sheller remarked Wednesday.
Sheller, who with Mike Back co-owns Lake City Trading Post, said she wanted to make gently used name-band jeans accessible to kids in town who couldn’t otherwise afford them.
She spent months gathering a stock of 3,000 pairs of jeans, in sizes ranging from kids 6 to men’s and women’s large. She said she hit up used clothing stores and garage sales everywhere from Goshen to Fort Wayne, and plans to buy jeans from customers in-store, too.
The store’s regular hours will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Its phone number is 574-265-8493.[[In-content Ad]]
