SYRACUSE - Jean A. Davis, 86, of North Webster, died Aug. 28, 2010, in her son's residence in Leesburg.

She was born April 8, 1924, in Elkhart, to Clarence E. and Florence N. Hill Richwine. On Dec. 24, 1941, in Warsaw, she married Raymond Fifer, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 14, 1964, in Clinton, Va., she married Thomas Davis, who died in 1988.

She lived most of her life in Kosciusko and Noble counties and graduated in 1941 from North Webster High School. She retired in May 1995 from Essex Wire, Ligonier, after 30 years of service.

Surviving are three daughters: Linda Smith, Portland Ore.; Carol (and spouse David) Garber, Warsaw; and Sue Ellen Barr, Columbus, Ohio; a son, Kenneth (and spouse Cheryl) Fifer, Leesburg; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, two sisters and three brothers.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
