He said he is running for a third term to continue to serve the public.
"We want Kosciusko County to be a safe place to live and to encourage citizens to abide by an acceptable level of conduct for the benefit of all who live here," Jarrette said.
He said if he is re-elected, he will continue to do his best in attempting to provide an atmosphere where individuals who appear in court feel they have been treated in a fair and impartial manner.
He said when sentences are imposed, they should be consistent and reflect acceptable community standards.

He also assisted current Superior Court III Judge Joe Sutton with developing the Kosciusko Court Alcohol and Drug program.
The program has been in existence for five years and provides the courts a resource for referring individuals suspected of having drug and alcohol abuse issues for evaluation and treatment.
Jarrette served as an associate for Valentine, Walmer, Miner, P.C., and as a Kosciusko County deputy prosecutor assigned to the Kosciusko County Court from Feb. 15, 1979, to Sept. 4, 1979.
