PIERCETON - Janice Kay Busz, 72, of Pierceton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 5:30 p.m. April 2, 2012, in her residence. She was born Feb. 10, 1940, in Columbia City, to Harry and Velma Hively Staley. On May 6, 1960, in Columbia City, she married James Edward Busz, who survives. A lifetime resident of Pierceton in Kosciusko County, she will be remembered by many as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family, her grandchildren and many trips to Las Vegas with her loving husband along with being a lifetime bowler. During her life, she worked at the phone company in Columbia City; Murphy Medical Center; Arnolds Corp.; Whitley Products; and Heaters Inc. She served as Pierceton town clerk between 1976-80. She retired from Walmart, Warsaw, where she is remembered as a friendly greeter. She enjoyed attending Pierceton Presbyterian Church and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary of Pierceton American Legion. Also surviving are three sons: Jeff (and spouse Cindy) Busz, Warsaw; James Busz, Columbia City; and Joseph (and spouse Krista) Busz, North Manchester; a sister, Ruth (and spouse Dr. Greg) Woodham, Sanibel Island, Fla.; a brother, Dr. Harry (and spouse Lisa) Staley, Indianapolis; and grandchildren: Jason, Andrew, Mariah, Ryan, Chaz, Kaleb and Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor Billy Smith officiating.
