He was born Oct. 25, 1948, in Warsaw, to Gerald and Betty Brite Dubbs. On May 1, 1970, he married Judy A. Rosbrugh.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where he was a 1968 graduate of Warsaw High School. In 1969 he started working at Dalton Foundry, Warsaw, and worked there for 25 years until he retired in 1994. He also worked part-time at Marsh Supermarket, Warsaw, as well as working part-time at Kosciusko Community YMCA. He attended Cook’s Chapel Church, Warsaw. He played in the Flight, Saloonatics and the Random Play bands for several years. He loved to camp and fish, but most of all he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are a son, Dusty Dubbs, Warsaw; a very special adopted son, Anthony (and spouse Michelle) Masterson and their daughter, Sophie, Orange Park, Fla.; a daughter, Melissa (and spouse Nick) Winters, Pierceton; four granddaughters: Branda, Hannah, Haleigh and Delanie; two step-granddaughters, Sophia and Donna Winters; and two great-grandsons, Brayden and Jaxon; a brother, Bill Dubbs, Fort Wayne; a step-father, Don Stoner, Warsaw; five sisters: Donna (and spouse Ricardo) Lagos, Texas; Ruby (and spouse Trent) Biller, Warsaw; Donna Hickman, Syracuse; Susie Stoner, Dayton, Ind.; Deb (and spouse Brian) Lucas Delphi; five nephews: Kyle Rosbrugh, Orion Rosbrugh, Jarod (and spouse Alison) Rosbrugh, Josh (and spouse Krystal) Smith and Joe (and spouse Jayme) Smith; and his niece, Nichole (and spouse Jake) Roberson. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Dubbs; mother, Betty Brite Dubbs Stoner; and his uncle, Don Dubbs.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastors Earl Futch and Gene Frye officiating.
Calling is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
