NORTH WEBSTER – James E. “Jim” Wright, 77, of North Webster, died July 8, 2011, in his home.
He was born Jan. 8, 1934, in Peru, to James Floyd and Leah Marie Warren Wright. On May 15, 1955, in Warsaw, he married Lillie M. Hughes, who survives.
He graduated from Pierceton High School. He lived in Kosciusko County most of his life, having moved here when he was 10 years old from Peru. He retired from United Telephone Company, Warsaw, after 43 years of service and formerly worked part time at Mt. Wawasee Ski Slope. He formerly attended St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, Syracuse, and was Scout master for the Syracuse Boy Scouts for nine years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Janet (and spouse Dennis) Rex, North Webster; three sons: Jay Wright, Syracuse; Joe (and spouse Joy) Wright, Elkhart; and James Wright, North Webster; a brother, Kenneth (and spouse Sondra) Wright, Pierceton; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, with Pastor Brad Cox, Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
