COLUMBIA CITY – James “Darrell” Clark, 62, Pierceton, passed away Oct. 26, 2014, surrounded by his family.
He was born June 10, 1952, in Harlan County, Ky., to Oscar Howard and Grace Ellen Cody Clark.
He and his family moved from Kentucky to South Whitley in 1972. He had worked at Dalton, Carey Construction and Star Light in Pierceton. For over 20 years, he worked at Alfe Heat Treat, and retired in 2008.
Surviving are four sisters: Melinda Taulbee, Columbia City; Brenda (and spouse Lance) Colbert, Williamstown, Ky.; Joyce (and spouse Jim) Sherman, Cromwell; and Lisa (and spouse Mike Gulley) Barrett, Warsaw; two brothers, Ron Clark, Fort Wayne, and Bruce Clark, Columbia City; and many loving nieces and nephews including his “boys” Jake, Junior and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William Clark; and nieces, Brandy Clark and Jennifer Jones.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Burial is in South Park (Annex) Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
