James A. Bowser, 86, Warsaw, passed away at 4:44 a.m. Sept. 21, 2015, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born April 18, 1929, in Warsaw, to John Alva and Anna M. Beatty Bowser. On Dec. 11, 1954, in Warsaw, he married Patricia “Patsy” Winifred McQueer, who preceded him in death Feb. 6, 2006.
He enlisted with the United States Air Force Feb. 4, 1947, in Indianapolis, and was honorably discharged Jan. 20, 1949.
He was a lifetime Kosciusko County resident. He was  a truck driver for Kosciusko County Co-op; Pepsi Cola; Super Sweet Feeds and Keebler Company. He retired in 1991. He was a former member of Fraternal Order of Eagles and Warsaw Moose Lodge.
Survivors are, two sons: James (and spouse Tammy) Bowser, Nappanee, and Kevin Bowser, Fort Wayne; two daughters: Cheryl (and spouse Gary) Antonich, Elgin, Ill., and Verdonna Huey, Warsaw; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Jean Shanbeck and Joanne King, both of Warsaw. He also was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Wayne Bowser; two great-grandchildren, Kaimen Michael Wallace and Emma Patrice Gibson; his parents; two brothers, John and infant Donald Bowser; and three sisters: Kathryn Miller, Evelyn Kinsey and Francis Prescott.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with Pastor Brian Lowe of New Life Christian Church & World Outreach, Warsaw, officiating. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
