NORTH MANCHESTER – Jackie Dean "Jack" Smith, 67, of Walling, Tenn., and formerly of Liberty Mills, died at 6:45 p.m. June 20, 2011, in his residence.

He was born Aug. 8, 1943, in Wabash, to Elvin and Marjorie Keaffaber Smith. 

He worked at Manchester Foundry for 38 years, retiring in September 2004. He belonged to the Wabash Saddle Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Camille (and spouse Michael) Zipper, Walling; a brother, Jerry (and spouse Kathy) Smith, Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Peggy (and spouse John) O’Connor, Indianapolis; his mother, Marjorie Tucker, Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.

Calling is from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
