WABASH - Jack Leroy Miller, 89, of Wabash, died at 1:45 a.m. June 24, 2008, in Wabash County Hospital.

He was born Jan. 31, 1919, in Richvalley, to Lorin and Jessie Denton Miller. On July 6, 1940, in North Webster, he married Ethel Mae Scott, who died March 8, 2003.

He worked at Container Corp., Wabash, for 41 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hanna Masonic Lodge 61 and American Legion Post 15, all in Wabash, and Lake Chapman Conservation Club. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He lived at Chapman Lake for 12 years.

Surviving are three sons: Ronald Scott (and spouse Jane) Miller, Wabash; Jonathan Lee (and spouse Nancy) Miller, Peru; and Timothy Charles (and spouse Hilda) Miller, Fort Wayne; a daughter, Elizabeth Luann (and spouse Dave) Moberg, Indianapolis; special friend, Lillian Gebert, Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, with Pastor Bill Garver officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.

Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
