He was born July 22, 1933, in Auxier, Ky., to Bill and Norma Preston Ford. On July 31, 1965, he married Maudie Slone, who survives.
Living most of his life in Kosciusko County, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Dalton Foundry, Warsaw, after many years of service and he helped with building the Biblical Gardens, Center Park, Warsaw.
Also surviving are a son, Henry Ford, Warsaw; a stepson, Charles Haywood, Warsaw; two stepdaughters, Priscilla Ford, Alabama, and Judy Skeens, Kentucky; 13 grandchildren: Blake, Zack, Josh, Andrea, Alison, Robert and Billy Ford; Judy and Charlie Haywood, Bobbie Junker, Tammy Ritz, Michael Hale and Jodi Zook; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters and a stepdaughter, Anna Grace Hale.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by the American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 11126, Warsaw.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
