He was born Aug. 31, 1929, in Warsaw, to Alfred and Ruth Dausman Hamman.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was a heavy-equipment and crane operator, owning his own piledriving business for 30 years, retiring in 2004.
Surviving are two daughters, Jane (and spouse Jim) Bohlin, Pierceton, and Jennie Hamman, Leesburg; two sons, Rick (and spouse Brenda) Hamman, North Webster, and Greg Hamman, Leesburg; his companion, Harriet Young, North Webster; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild and a brother.
No services are planned. Burial will be at a later date in North Webster Cemetery.
No calling is planned.
