BOURBON - Jack D. Klingerman, 74, of 201 Shaffer Road, Bourbon, peacefully entered into eternal rest at 7:17 a.m. July 4, 2008, in Goshen General Hospital. He was in failing health.

He was born July 27, 1933, in Argos, to Floyd and Mabel Flory Klingerman. On Oct. 24, 1958, he married Leah Ann Tracy, who died Sept. 3, 1999.

He was a retired welder, formerly owning Klingerman Welding, Bourbon. He enjoyed drag racing and fishing in his past time. He was an associate member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 130 and a member of Bourbon American Legion Post 424. He was U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Surviving are three children, Mark (and spouse Denise) Klingerman and Tracy Klingerman, all of Bourbon, and Tammi Klingerman, Warsaw; three grandchildren; Aaron (and spouse Eva), Stacy and Austin Klingerman; three sisters: Betty (and spouse Kenneth) Powell, Argos; Zada (and spouse Robert) Border, Bourbon; and Linda Rogan, Kenton, Ohio; two brothers, Larry (and spouse Lee) Klingerman, and Dan (and spouse Donna) Klingerman, all of Bourbon; and two sisters-in-law, Jean Zehner, Monticello, and Carolyn Sue Tracy, South Bend.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, Bourbon, with his son, Mark Klingerman officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bourbon.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
