She is a 1998 graduate of Warsaw Community High School and received a bachelor's degree in psychology and addictions counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2002, and a master's degree in counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2005.
The groom-elect is a veterinarian at St. Joe Center Veterinary Hospital, Fort Wayne. He is a 1995 graduate of Henry Clay High, Lexington, Ky., and received a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky in 1999. He received his doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Auburn University in 2008.
