She was born March 21, 1921, in Linton, to Andrew and Elva Wright Hutchison. In July 1949, in Saulte St. Marie, Mich., she married Frank Kalka, who survives in Warsaw.
She lived in South Bend most of her life before moving to Warsaw in 1997. She graduated in 1940 from Central High School, South Bend. She was a former member of St. Casimir Parish, South Bend.
Also surviving are a daughter, Deborah (and spouse Robert) Haney, Warsaw; a son, Craig A. (and spouse Julie) Kalka, Warsaw; two stepsons, Matthew and Francis Kalka, both of Edwardsburg, Mich.; five grandchildren: Andrew (and spouse Erin) Young, Justin Kalka, Sara Kalka, all of Warsaw; Jamie Scott, Pierceton; Debra Scott, Florida; and four step-grandchildren, Tammi, Robin, Scott and Ronald. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Norman Hutchison; and a stepson, Worth Haney.
Services will be at 10:30 Tuesday at Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Kaniewski Funeral Home, with a vigil service at 4 p.m.
