I was talking with my mom this week (Aug. 20) and she mentioned that her medications shot up in price tremendously. She was saying this was due to falling into the “doughnut hole” where her insurance is concerned.
My wife was listening and told me “ask if her doctor can offer samples of medications,” to which mom said “my doctor’s office doesn’t give samples.”
At hearing this, my wife became furious! She is adamant that drug companies have representatives who travel all over the country and leave sample quantities of prescription drugs for various afflictions for doctors to help their patients.
Several years ago, mom was a patient of Dr. Keough, but when he became ill and passed away, she began seeing another physician, a female. Mom was not so happy with her, but endured. However, the female doctor was eventually arrested by the federal officers for some wrongdoing.
Now, she has yet another doctor, who claims to not give out “samples” of meds; and this goes back to my point. Politicians are responsible for a lot of this mess, both Democrats and Republicans. They get hefty salaries, the best healthcare and medicines to be had, and they live like kings and queens.
If things are ever going to get better for the American people, all of us, we need to put our collective feet down, and tell all of these worthless fools, “You work for us, we do not work for you! Do something to fix this travesty of nonsense, or resign!”
“Obamacare” is a damn joke and a big fat lie!
Barack Obama is a bigger joke.
Maybe we should all ask our senators and representatives, state and federal, if they are receiving “kickbacks” from these drug companies for aiding them in keeping drug prices sky high; and ask our own physicians that same question. “Doc, are you receiving kickbacks/profits from these drug manufacturers?”
A doctor with real concern for their patients will never seek profit over the well-being of the people he/she seeks to help.
The same goes for an honest, decent representative as senator. This country is not about political affiliation, it is about people. It is about the right to live in freedom, peace and happiness. “Honest politician” is a sample of an “oxymoron,” but “free people” should never be such!
