Inmate Sentenced In Kosciusko Dies In State Prison

Patrick Whetstone, 25, was strangled by his cellmate, Luis Silveria, 37, while in the Special Needs Unit.
No motive has been given for the attack.
Whetstone was serving 17 years in prison and was sentenced from Kosciusko County for burglary, theft, forgery and receiving stolen property. Whetstone also was convicted of battery by bodily waste while in Sullivan County. Whetstone was scheduled for release in October.
Whetstone is survived by his parents, a sister and grandparents. Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today, and services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, all at Zion Chapel, Goshen.[[In-content Ad]]
