Inhumane Kennels

I recently visited a breeding kennel in the area. What I saw there sickened me!

The back buildings where they keep all the breeders was so hot I could hardly breath. The urine was so strong that it burned my eyes! There were at least 300 to 400 adult dogs all in cages, three to five in each cage. These dogs are strictly used for breeding. They have no human contact, they never leave the cages except for breeding. They don't get to go outside to run or anything! This site was so disturbing to me, it haunted me for days and still does now!

The living conditions of these poor dogs is unacceptable! I have called every agency there is to get help for these poor animals and no one can do anything! They all tell me that the kennel isn't breaking any laws because evidently there are no laws!

I have contacted the Humane Society, Animal Rescue, The Animal Health and Welfare Dept., American Kennel Club and Sheriff's Dept., no one can do anything. There are no regulations for these kennels. These greedy, heartless people can keep these dogs piled up in cages for years never to see the light of day, no people contact at all and it's all ok! I just don't get it!

Then people are buying the puppies from them, paying a lot of money for them, too, and they are not even aware of how the puppies came to be. If anyone is going to buy a "registered breed" of any kind, they should insist on seeing the entire facility, before they do it! A lot of these kennels are only about the money, they don't care about the animals!

The owner told me that the dogs don't know any difference. Well, I know the difference! Please print this letter to let people know the truth about these kennels. People need to be aware of what goes on at some of these places and help to put these heartless people out of business.

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are for people over the age of 70.5 years old. Unlike other distributions, which are taxed at ordinary income tax rates, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) allow for a tax-free distribution from an IRA, provided that the distribution goes directly to a qualified charity.
