LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing on July 28, 2010, at 6:00 pm in the Central Instructional Materials Center (CIMC) located at the Warsaw Community Schools, 1 Administration Drive, Warsaw, Indiana. The purpose of the public hearing is to offer all interested persons an opportunity to comment on current design plans for the proposed SR 15 added travel lanes from the intersection of CR 230N (Jalynn Street) continuing north to 860 feet north of the intersection of Levi Lee Road located in Kosciusko County. The total project length is about 2.5 miles. The proposed SR 15 project will add travel lanes as well as turn lanes while improving drainage. The bridge over the Tippecanoe River will be widened to allow for the additional turn lanes. There will be proposed site distance improvements from the bridge north to the end of the project. Preliminary plans will be available for viewing at the public hearing. Construction of the project will require approximately 20.01 acres of new permanent right-of-way. One displacement of a business will be involved with this project. The tentative timetables for right of way acquisition and construction will be discussed during the formal presentation. Public statements for the record will be taken after the presentation. Individuals interested in participating in the public statement session may sign the speaker's schedule prior to the presentation. All comments collected before, during and for a period of two (2) weeks after the hearing will be evaluated and addressed in the final design study report. Before and after the formal presentation, the plans will be available for anyone interested in talking to the engineers about the project. Conversations will not be part of the official record.
