Ind. Secretary Of State Todd Rokita Visits Area

Rokita had lunch at Boathouse Restaurant, Winona Lake, Monday with local business owners and government officials.
He also attended the Kosciusko County Right To Life banquet Monday night at the Orthopaedic Capital Center in Winona Lake.
Rokita has served as the secretary of state for two terms and his term expires after this year.
He is seeking the fourth congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the November election.
Rokita spoke before the luncheon at the Boathouse Monday afternoon.
As secretary of state, he said he has secured more than 300 years of jail time for white-collar scam artists, and given back more than $50 million in restitution for Hoosiers that have been scammed.
He also said he has been instrumental in implementing photo identification at the polls in Indiana.
He said his office is working on redistricting reform by committing to a census that equally divides voters into legislative districts.[[In-content Ad]]Rokita said there is debt because of promises that have been made by politicians, and if he is elected to the congressional seat he will support the private sector.
"The private sector is serving the public sector and that is not America, but like some parts of Europe and places that have failed," Rokita said.
