Illegals

Recently, Senator Mike Delph, Carmel, sponsored a bill that would place strict penalties on companies that knowingly hire illegal aliens. This is long over due. Personally, I would like that to include financial institutions that loan money to them and landlords that rent to them - no excuses, period.

Indiana taxpayers spend $5 million each year for illegals on social services alone. That is money out of your check each week that is freely being spent on people that are breaking the law of the land. The federal government, our elected politicians, are being given large sums of money each year to look the other way. It's time to hold them accountable.

Like most Americans, I have no problem with someone wanting to come to America to provide a better life for there families ... just don't expect the hard-working men and women of America to pay your way.

If they want to come here, simply do what millions of others have done by becoming citizens, learn English, respect our traditions, pay taxes, and abide by the laws of the land.

But being an illegal and marching in our streets making demands and telling us how it's going to be done won't work.

I would hope the citizens of Indiana would contact their state representatives and support Senator Mike Delph's bill.

Shame on a nation that will give millions of our tax dollars to illegals, and our elderly don't have enough money to pay for their healthcare and veterans that are homeless.
