She was hired in 1986 by then-owner Dr. Richard L. Carman, and remained on staff when the practice was sold to her daughter, Dr. Tabitha Temple.
Her daily responsibilties included the edging of spectacle lenses and assembly of glasses, as well as adjustments and repairs of glasses. Now that she is retired, she and her also-retired husband, Gary Hurd, enjoy fishing, spending time with their five granchildren, and hope to travel more.
There will be an open house celebration Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church, located on Ind. 15N, (north of the office) and all are invited to stop by and wish her well in this new venture.
Cards are welcome, and if unable to attend the open house, you may send them to her home address, 5381 S. Country Club Road Warsaw, or drop them by the office and they will be passed along to her.[[In-content Ad]]
