Frederick and Joan Hunter, Bourbon, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 6, 2009. Fred and the former Joan Poorman joined hands and hearts Nov. 6, 1959, in Rochester.

He joined the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War.

They have four sons: Rocky (and spouse Danette) and Lofty (and Karen Kokovay), all of Warsaw; Shad (and spouse Crystal), Columbia City; and Tag (and spouse Patricia), Bourbon; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
