PERU -ÊAfter a close loss to North Miami Friday night, the Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team traveled to Peru and brought home a 74-69 win Saturday.

After falling behind by 61-52 after three quarters of play, Valley outscored Peru 22-8 in the final quarter of play.

Cody New led the Vikings with 35 points and 15 rebounds, while Ross Stutzman pulled down 14 rebounds. Trey Eaton chipped in 11 points in the Valley win.

The Vikings are 11-5 overall and will play at Triton Thursday due to the girls sectional. Peru is 8-7.

The Whitko boys basketball team hosted and fell to Carroll 90-61 Saturday night.

The Chargers jumped out to a 26-13 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Josh Hoffman led the Wildcats with 20 points, while Alex Frantz added 16. Ben Garber chipped in 11 points for Whitko as well.

Whitko is 8-9 and will play North Side Wednesday. Carroll is 12-4.

The Manchester boys basketball team hosted and defeated Harding 53-50 Saturday.

The Squires and Hawks were knotted at 12 after one quarter of play, and Manchester took a 26-22 lead into the lockers at halftime. Harding cut the lead to one after the third quarter, but Mancehster outscored Harding 17-15 in the final quarter of play to get the win.

Anthony Frieden led the Squires with 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Klint Rupley added 12 points in the victory.

Manchester improves to 11-6 overall and will play at Columbia City Thursday. Harding is 15-3.
