WABASH - Howard C. "Tater" Harvey, 86, of Wabash, died at 4:20 p.m. May 22, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Wabash.

He was born Feb. 8, 1924, in Wabash, to Ernest M. and Edith Slater Harvey.

A lifetime Wabash resident, he retired from the Wabash City Street Dept.

Surviving are a son, Ronnie Dean (and spouse Jill) Harvey, St. Clair Shores, Mich.; two daughters, Janice Jo Bauer, Fair Haven, Mich., and Beverly Sue (and spouse Dan) Brower, Seneca, S.C.; a brother, Ernest Harvey Jr., Warsaw; two sisters, Juanita Jean Rittenhouse, Anderson, and Patricia (and spouse Archie) Caudill, Silver Lake; four grandchildren: Danielle, Stacey, Brooks and Bridget; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest M. Harvey; his mother, Edith Slater Harvey Smith; his stepfather, Paul H. Smith; and a nephew, Thomas Caudill.

No services are planned. Burial will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.

McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, is in charge of arrangements.
